Does anyone know of a shop that has the proper adapters to balance wire wheels? Attachments:

Most "experienced" tire shop techs know how to adapt the wire wheel to the dynamic wheel balancers. While the WW hub may not fit perfectly, a good tech can "eyeball" the alignment and "true" the wheel by slowly spinning the wheel and correcting for any slight wobble. Then they secure the WW hub to the fixture once they have it in an "almost" perfect alignment and then they spin the wheel from there. If this method is not good enough, you can always opt for the static balance which they did back in the 1920's and it's still around today. Many Les Schwab tire stores will do it and most Goodyear shops also. They prefer that you bring in the WW off the car so they are not responsible for mounting the WW back on the car. Go figure.
