Looking for the best way to wire up my radiator fan. It was directly connected to the battery by the PO and required that you pop open the hood to remove the connector otherwise, it never shut off. I am thinking about running it to a switch but since I do not have the original fan it seems to me that it should always be on if the car is running. Maybe just adding it to a circuit that is controlled by the key...

I know it's been some time ago when you posed this question but maybe we can help others with the same problem. I've attached the electrical schematic for the installation of the Hayden Fan. It should be controlled by a thermostat that is supplied with the fan. I'm sure you could contact Hayden Fan and they will send you the thermostat with associated wiring for a nominal price. You probably discovered that the fan shroud is just a little bit larger than the core area of an MGB radiator but this should not present a problem for installation. Attachments:

And it took me even longer to check on the responses to my very old post! Thanks for the wiring diagram. I added a switch to the steering column. I found a blank on the left side and my switch fit in there nicely and it has been nice to be able to turn off that high pitched fan when its not needed.
